Con Feighery

Con was educated at Castleknock College and University College Dublin where he graduated as a medical doctor. He then joined Lansdowne where he gained his Irish caps. He also played for Leinster on many occasions and Irish Universities. He partnered Willie John McBride at lock on the Irish team where such other notables as Kevin Flynn, Ray McLaughlin, Barry McGann and Fergus Slattery were his team mates. In gaining his caps he displaced Dr. Mick Molloy who had partnered McBride for the previous 6 years. He won a Leinster Senior cup in 1972. Con’s brother Tom was also capped for Ireland in 1977.
