Felipe comes from a strong rugby family and attended a Christian Brothers school in Buenos Aires where rugby was the main sport. Following a couple of seasons with Bristol in the Zurich Premiership Felipe moved to Dublin to play with Leinster and where he was able to continue his medical studies at Royal College of Surgeons. In his second season with Leinster he joined Lansdowne where he played a crucial role in helping Landsdowne avoiding relegation.

Felipe has represented Argentina in 2 World Cups. In both of these competitions Argentina were ironically drawn in the same group as Ireland. He has captained Argentina on several occasions.

Felipe was one of the stars in the Leinster team over six seasons and was part of the Leinster team which won the European Cup in 2009 and the Magners League in 2008.

He has now moved to Toulan in France where his rugby career continues to flourish.
