Michael Sherry

He was educated at Cistercian College Roscrea where he learned his early rugby. He also dabbled in athletics and won the Irish Senior schools high hurdles in 1969. After school he joined UCD from which he qualified as solicitor and whilst at college played for Leinster at under 19 and under 21 level. Having won his Irish cap with Lansdowne in the 1974/75 season he moved to Limerick in connection with his legal practise. He joined Garryowen where he won Munster cup and league medals and he also had the distinction of playing at senior level with both Connaught and Munster.
