He first played for Lansdowne in 1927/28. He was a strong running centre and continued his career with Lansdowne up to 1935/36. He was a member of the famous Lansdowne team which won 6 Leinster Senior cups between 1927 and 1933 in the company of such well known international players as Davy, Arigho, Lightfoot and Crawford. His brother Phil Crowe was capped in 1935 whilst to his great joy his son James, a student at UCD, was capped in 1973. Morgan served as President of Landsdowne in 1956/57.
