T. Shanahan

Joined Lansdowne in 1883 and played regularly on the 1st IX until his retirement in 1888. His first cap against England was lost at Manchester 6-3 but he had better luck against Wales at Lansdowne Road in 1887 when Ireland won 11-0 and he scored a try. During his time on the Ireland side he was accompanied by other notable Landsdowne players such as W.G Rutherford, R.G Warren, J.P Ross and V.C LeFanu.
