Emphatic Win Over Cork Con Helps Lansdowne Maintain Championship Drive

Feb 24, 2013

Lansdowne maintained their impressive recent form as they walked off the pitch at Temple Hill with a bonus point, leaving them 12 points clear at the top of Division 1A of the All Ireland League. Tries from Horan, Boucher, Ronaldson and Beirne, along with conversions and penalties from Ronaldson, all but killed off the Cork Con challenge, until Lansdowne took their foot off the pedal and allowed Con in for a brace of tries in the dying minutes.

A special word of thanks to the Lansdowne U11s who served up a magnificent display of running and passing rugby as a curtain raiser for the senior team. No doubt that the senior 1st XV felt compelled to match the performance of their younger club counterparts.

Overall, an emphatic away win for Lansdowne which maintains their drive for AIL championship honours.
