U 21’s first league game of the season tonight v Wesley in Lansdowne Road

Oct 05, 2012

First league game of the season for the under 21’s tonight v Wesley in Lansdowne Road on the back pitch with a 7.30pm KO. A busy off season for the 21’s with a lot of players overage and moving into the senior and Junior parts of the club and the likes of Foster Horan, Tadgh Beirne & Peter Reilly still underage but starting out on their professional rugby careers and best of luck to them. Lots of new faces and recruits this year from all over the country, almost a new back line and new front rows but we hope to be very competitive this year and develop the next batch of senior players for the club and there certainly are plenty of lads to keep an eye on. We have assembled a good squad with approx 15 of our squad involved with the inter pros under 20s and 19s this season and another 4 or 5 involved in the Irish under 20 camp this week as well. We have a few injuries at the moment but have a strong team out tonight. Keep an eye on 12 & 13 they are real crowd pleasers and we are delighted to have them in Lansdowne. Bar open tonight with club function so hopefully we can give you something to cheer about from the balcony. Weather decent so hope to see you all through out the season, bring the family down and make a night of it. Our Pennant side are playing Blackrock on Sunday in Stradbrook with a 12.30 KO and would be delighted with any support you can give.
