Lansdowne U11 v Greystones, Ballychorus, 13th January, 2013

Jan 13, 2013

On a cold and wet day in Ballychorus, Lansdowne U11 faced our U11 opponents from Greystones. Having only recently played Greystones in December it was an interesting exercise to monitor how the boys have managed to return to game form after the long Christams break. With both teams fielding three teams we played 9 round robin games of 15 min duration which managed to serve up some very entertaining rugby.

As the season has progressed the boys have continued to progess and refine their skill set, especially in and around the ruck. Lansdowne was always noted for its running style of rugby and it's safe to say that the current crop of U11s embody that running style with some tremendous passages of passing rugby in todays games. It was magnificent to watch and let's hope that this group continue to hold that running ethos close to their hearts.

Thanks again to Greystones for presenting three competitive and well-drilled teams.
