Lansdowne U17 Friendly V Barnhall

Barnhall 0 Lansdowne 19

Lansdowne U17s had a badly needed workout against a useful Barnhall side in a friendly fixture at Leixlip on Sunday. On a cold afternoon, and with several players playing out of position Lansdowne took a while to get going, but midway through the first half they used their backline to great effect. Crisp passing yielded three tries from Alex Caslin, Adam Browne and Man of the Match, Richard Dunne, two of which were nicely converted by Alex Caslin.

Playing into the wind in the second half Lansdowne could not penetrate Barnhall’s excellent defence. Lansdowne were indeed lucky not to conceded a try when Barnhall spilt the ball with the line beckoning. The game ended with no further scores and with no injuries Lansdowne are shaping up well for their upcoming SY League & Metro Cup finals. Both of these games have been deferred to the first week in May. Details to follow.
