Lansdowne U17s Catalonian Tour

Lansdowne completed a successful and thoroughly enjoyable tour of Catalonia at the weekend.

Arriving on Friday the squad enjoyed some sailing & sea kayaking in their Vilanova  headquarters.

On Saturday the squad travelled to Barcelona and did a spot of sight seeing before heading down to the sea front to play CNPN Enginyers.

In a one-sided match, Lansdowne ran through their paces to ended up easy winners, scoring 14 tries in the process.

After a tour of Camp Nou on Sunday , Lansdowne were hosted by FC Barca on an all weather pitch. In a very closes and well contested encounter, Lansdowne won 14-0 with tries from Shane Donnelly and Dennis Looby, one converted by Rob Kelly.

Tarragona 14 Lansdowne 24

The FC Barca match was shortly followed by an entertaining game against Tarragona which was again won by Lansdowne 24-17. In another evenly balanced fixture.

On both days Lansdowne FC were well entertained by our new Catalonian friends and they would welcome regular visits by any future Lansdowne teams.
