U17: Lansdowne 56 Corinthians 0

Dec 16, 2013

Lansdowne U17s ended 2013 with an emphatic win against Corinthians. In his last game from the club, Lukas David captained Lansdowne against a  Corinthians side who  travelled up from Galway with a severely depleted team after losing nearly half their squad through injury or sickness. With a strong wind behind them Lansdowne started well and were soon in front.

Tries from Shane Donnelly, Thomas Costello, Lorcan Rooney & Adam Browne ( 2 of which were converted by Adam Curry) quickly brought Lansdowne into a 24-0 lead. With such a commanding lead Lansdowne took the foot off the peddle and allowed Corinthians to dominate for the second period of the first half, before Lukas David went in for his second Lansdowne try in his last game for the club.

A stern lecture from Michael Herrity at half time worked wonders as Lansdowne’s running/passing game produced tries from Liam Mulvihill, Adam Curry, Alex Kinahin, Harry Brennan & Jack Mulcahy, two of each were converted by Liam Mulvihill and Adam Curry.

Many thanks to all who attended our Christmas party afterward which turned out to be huge success.

Last training session before Christmas is on Tuesday in Lansdowne at 17.30

Man of the Match : Harry Brennan
