Lansdowne FC 31 Blackrock 14

The 21's kept the feel good factor alive in Lansdowne Fc by qualifying for their second final in as many weeks with a 17 point winning margin over Blackrock. Lansdowne had to do it the hard way after a plucky Rock team capitalised an some sloppy play from Lansdowne firstly in the 24th minute and again in the 44th minute of the second half to trail 14-0.

Lansdowne although dominating territory and possession were also subject to some puzzling referring decisions at scrum time but put all that behind them in the 50th minute with a devastating final 30 minutes when all the frustration of the day came to bear and the lads showed their fighting spirit with a five try blitz finishing off with a 31 to 14 victory over a Blackrock team who played well above their League standing.

This capped off a fifth win in five weeks for the 21's and qualifies us for the Final of the McCorry Cup but as the other half of the draw has only completed the 2nd round yesterday our opponents are yet to be known
