Lansdowne Under 21s

The Lansdowne U20’s team(Under 21s from season 09/10) has been the lifeblood of the club for many years. Over the last years the team has provided great quality rugby enjoyed by players and spectators alike. Success not only has to be measured in the trophies won but also by the development of talent to the club, Leinster and Ireland. In recent years the U20’s have competed at the highest levels of underage rugby in Ireland. The U20’s recent success includes winning the JP Fanagan League, The McCorry Cup and competing to the semi final in the All Ireland U20’s Competition in 2009. We continue to attract the quality and character of player the club demands.

The Lansdowne U20’s recently provided six of the Irish U20’s squad for the U20’s World Cup (David Kearney, Shane Gahan, Matthew Healy , Eamonn Sheridan, Jack O'Connell and Dominic Ryan). We would like to wish the lads and the team the best of luck in Japan. Congratulations must also go to Niall Ronan, who was on the Lansdowne U20’s team for 3 years, on winning his 1st Irish Senior Cap.

As we look forward to moving back to Lansdowne Road and state of the art all-weather training facilities, the future of Lansdowne Rugby is bright.
