With a 66-12 win over Barnhall, the Lansdowne U17s have made it three from three in their opening round of games in the Leinster U17 School/Youth Premier Qualifier B division.

The Lansdowne forwards led by example and tries from David Walsh (3) and Oscar O’Brien (2) laid the platform for out-half Hugh O’Kennedy and place kicker Ben Lockhart to play an open and expansive game. Despite the wet and slippery conditions, the Lansdowne team ran the ball at every opportunity.

Try of the game went to winger Paul Kobus. Defending deep in our own 22, scrum-half Cian Maloney made a break but was tackled and brought to ground by the Barnhall pack. With Maloney unavailable, Kobus stepped inside to take on his role and fed the ball to the Lansdowne pack where the ball quickly moved along the touchline. Kobus tracked the move and was rewarded with an inside pass on the Barhall 22 that he duly touched down.
