This week’s Friday Flashback takes us back to 2013 when Lansdowne’s U20s charges, under their manager Declan Fassbender, won the Fraser McMullen Cup.
Played in Wanderers FC, Dublin University were the opponents in what turned out to be an incredible and most entertaining game of rugby.
The highlight of the game was a try from prop Peter Dooley. Dooley, throwing a dummy from inside his own half, finished the move by scoring a try. To cap it all off, Richie Lenahan, playing at fullback scored the try that ‘sealed the deal.’
