As you may already be aware, the IRFU recently announced that Ireland will resume their 2020 Championship campaign against Italy at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday 24th October before making the trip to Paris for the Round 5 clash against France on Saturday 31st October.  A kick-off time for the home clash against Italy in Dublin will be confirmed in due course.  The games, originally due to be played in March, were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  https://www.irishrugby.ie/2020/08/05/six-nations-announces-details-of-irelands-rescheduled-fixtures/

The IRFU also announced that in accordance with current Government guidelines on social distancing at sporting events it is increasingly unlikely that a capacity crowd will be facilitated at the Aviva Stadium for the rescheduled 2020 Guinness Six Nations fixture against Italy.  In this regard, the IRFU has cancelled all the tickets for the original Ireland v Italy fixture and refunds are being organised.   The same applies for the away fixture against France.  For anyone who has these tickets therefore, other than as a souvenir, they have no value and will not be recognised through the turnstiles.   New tickets will be issued for any crowd in attendance at the re-scheduled events and there is no further information in that regard currently.

The refunding process is as follows:

The IRFU will refund the Leinster Branch.
The Leinster Branch will then refund the clubs.
The clubs will then refund their members.

Once the Club is in receipt of our funds from the Leinster Branch, the face value amount will be manually refunded to each member by the ticket committee and to the same credit card that paid for the tickets in the first place.  The Leinster Branch and Lansdowne administration charges are not covered in the refund.  We anticipate this to be done around the end of September.  For any of you wishes to forego their refund, please contact the office directly at info@lansdownerugby.com

We will keep you informed with all new and relevant information as we receive it.
