Playing on the undulating second pitch in the dark November wind and rain, it was never going to be pretty. Lansdowne won a lot of possession throughout the game with a far stronger scrum and very well performing line out, but even if the conditions had encouraged it, we would have struggled in open play to penetrate the Greystones defence. Neither side had many chances to score, but Greystones took theirs when we were temporarily down a man.

Two tantalisingly close defeats for Juniors 2 and 3 over the weekend, but a marked improvement in performances thanks to Phil and Griggsy’s training and passion.  With the depth of talent and character in the squad and a growing self belief, victories can’t be far away.
