Lansdowne  19 – 22 Greystones

In spite of an excellently taken try by Shane Dalton and a 100% kicking performance from John Delaney (four penalty kicks and one conversion) the J3’s lost narrowly to Greystones on Friday night at home. Greystones’ relentless attacking pressure was manfully defended for most of the game but it finally bore fruit in the third quarter with Lansdowne conceding two of their three tries while we were temporarily down a man.  We fought back well, but the final whistle saved the visitors as we camped on their line for the last five minutes.

Each Lansdowne player can hold his head high on that performance and the pain of defeat was softened somewhat by pizzas and beers in the clubhouse afterwards!
