The Three Castle Ball made its induction to the memory book for all attendees last Saturday, following the previous night’s dramatic 1-point win versus Clontarf, proving it to be a weekend to remember. ‘The other lad’ Shane D’alton, Cathal Boyle and Jack O’Sullivan put in a big effort to ensure the night was a success with work beginning as early as the previous November. The attention to detail shown by the lads reached as far as branded wine bottles with the ‘Three Castle’ logo to after parties to ensure Dave wasn’t driven demented trying to remove the vibrant party goers!

The night began with Michael O’Brien taking some wonderful photos of all the couples (which can be seen HERE) and non-couples (Tourist) arriving dressed in the black tie and long dresses. The lads behind the bar provided prosecco on arrival and the mingling began for the fashionably late crowd. It was much appreciated to have in attendance President Derry Shaw, Head Coach Mark McHugh and his wife Orlaith, Forwards Coach Ben Armstrong and also his wife Aimee. Along with over 100 attendees.

The night ran smoothly, with Derry welcoming guests before Dinner followed by Club Captain Jack Dwan addressing the audience afterwards. A live band then performed before Matthew Scaife took over on the decks. The night ran until the early hours with House on Leeson street bravely taking the party to their residence to finish out the night and the brave few then ended the night next door in Legg’s. A deserving blow out for group of players who have worked so hard all season. Attention will now be returned to on the pitch action and trying to round off the year with as much silverware as possible with teams across the club in contention for various competitions.

On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to thank all those who attended and look forward to seeing as many faces as possible at the ‘Three Castle Ball’ 2021.

Jack O’Sullivan
