Sunday 3rd December saw Steve Rooney & Alan Reddan’s Girls travell to Castle Avenue to take on Northside rivals Clontarf. The girls fielded two teams which saw some really energetic, fast paced Rugby. Playing today was Emma Reddan, grand-daughter of Don Reddan making her the 3rd generation of the Reddan clan to wear the Lansdowne colours.
Normally when these two clubs meet at Senior and Youth mens level, the compettition is intense and both clubs carried this through to the Girs. The Lansdowne girls ultimately beat Clontarf 4 games to 0 but didn’t have it all their own way with some beautifully crafted Clontarf tries coming from the wing. Clontarf treated their guests to a fantastic spread in the clubhouse afterwards.

I know the parents were probably even more excited than the girls but they were a great pleasure to watch. some great skills being handed down to them from Steve, Alan & Jen.
