Michael Galvin’s under 14 squad secured a home win in the Plate final against Coolmine on Sunday.  FT Score 24-14

The U14S season finished on a very positive note on Sunday with victory in the League Shield Final against Coolmine in Lansdowne on Sunday.

It was an excellent performance by the team from start to finish. The half time score of 7-5 to Coolmine was not a true reflection of the amount of possession Lansdowne has in the first half.

However 3 excellent tries with 2 converted in the second half were just rewards for great attacking play by both the forwards and backs throughout the half.

Coolmine scored with the last play of the game to make the final score 24 -14 .

The players, coaches , parents and supporters all headed to the clubhouse after the match to reflect on what has been a great season overall for the U14s. Ending up in 5th position in the league and just missing out on the semifinals to Coolmine. Also just coming up short in the cup semi final in an epic match against an all -star Blackrock team at the beginning of April in Westmanstown RFC.

The lads are already looking forward to aiming to go to even greater heights next season at U15 level.
