Spring finally came to Lansdowne this weekend where our U20s hosted Dolphin in the QF of the Fraser McMullen All Ireland Cup.
Not even a prolonged April shower could dampen the newly crowned Leinster  League champions performance, as Lansdowne put on a barnstorming performance and won comprehensively, running in nine tries in the process.
Credit to Dolphin who came to HQ and ran every bit of possession they got and they were rewarded late in the game  with a consolation try. In an entertaining game for all who attended Lansdowne opened their account with a brace of tries from Michael Heaney. Dolphin replied with a penalty but relentless attacks yielded tries from Alex Deegan, Michael Roche and David Lynch to leave the score at 31-3 at half time.
Lansdowne continued on where they left off and added to their tally with tries from Tom Monaghan, Jack Moore. Michael Roche scored his second try before Dolphin rumbled over, and finally Mike Joyce scored for Lansdowne.
Next up is Dublin University in the Semi Final in HQ on Sat 14th
