Lansdowne started brightly and after sustained pressure, a neat kick by Peter Hastie was well fielded by Sean Gavin to open the scoring in the left corner.

Shortly after the restart Lansdowne were caught in possession and Terenure replied with a well worked try out right.

Lansdowne responded immediately when Tom Roche knifed his way cleanly through the Terenure defence to score. Peter Hastie converted.

After a series of attacks Peter O’Sullivan finished off a perfectly weighed kick by Tom Roche to score in the corner.

Terenure came again and scored off a lineout maul.

Just before half time Terenure kicked out on the full and from the ensuing scrum Michael Heaney finished off a good backline move for their 4th try.

Terenure upped their game for the 2nd half and after missing a simple penalty scored out wide after Lansdowne were reduced to 14. This was now a one score game with each side competing for every scrap. Both sides shared a penalty to end the scoring. A very competitive game played in good spirit.
