Great to see so many new faces and indeed some old ones, as the new crop of Lansdowne 20s faced off against the J2s in a pre-season warm up. Games like these are always an active affair as the order of the day is to play open and attacking rugby- it’s a way of blowing off the cobwebs and gaining some much-needed game time.

The two teams didn’t disappoint and for the side line viewer, let’s hope that the open and running play on show is a harbinger of things to come in the 2021-22 season.

It’s been a long, long wait for sport to return to the Lansdowne FC and indeed to the extended family of rugby clubs across Ireland.
