While there may not be any rugby, our U20s are keeping their competitive edge skills on track with a weekly Lockdown Challenge.

Week No1 Challenge was to bake a cake unaided – the Lansdowne U20s Great Bake-Off

The players were asked to submit photos of the ingredients, the method they used, and finally, the finished product to be then judged by the 20s management team.

After hours of mixing, stirring, beating and icing by the intrepid bakers, the judges kneaded a result and after sifting through all the entrants.

The real icing of the cake was the winning prize of Burger kit, from Sandymount’s  BUJOs, founded by ex-Lansdowne man Mick Sheary.

BUJOs have offered to sponsor the 20s Lockdown Challenge by the weekly winner with a Burger kit, a very kind gesture in these difficult times.

You can order BUJO Burger Kits Online. Their award-winning burgers are the No1 favourite of the 20s squad.

After considered deliberation the award for the best made cake went to Gorey’s Sean Wafer for his Lansdowne Lansdowne U20s masterpiece.
