Lansdowne U20s continued their winning ways with a 31-10 defeat of Terenure at Lansdowne Rd on Sunday.

Lansdowne started well, with a dominant scrum and lineout maul. Having scuppered a couple of early chances.

Mark Boyle went over to open the scoring. Then flanker Jack Loscher finished well to score wide on the left. Both of these tries were converted efficiently by Bill Foley.

Both teams then shared penalties to leave the score at 17-3 , and Nure were unfortunate to lose their influential hooker just before the break the break.

Terenure applied tremendous pressure throughout the 2nd half, but the Lansdowne defense held out well and eventually a break out was finished with a 50m run by Mark Hernan to score.

Then the pack rolled in from a lineout on the 22 , Diarmuid Brannock eventually grounding, to give Lansdowne the bonus point.

Again, both tries were converted neatly by Billy Foley.

Terenure were rewarded with a consolation try to finish the match.

Next up is DUFC at home on the back pitch this Sunday, and the U20s look forward to a large Lansdowne FC support being present.
