St Patrick’s Day was a little more special in Lansdowne FC this year as we had great interest in the Bank of Ireland Leinster Schools Senior Cup between local schools Gonzaga & St Michaels.

Gonzaga painted the clubhouse green before and after the game as they had booked the Zurich Room and bar for the day. As a club we were of course neutral observers but delighted to have 15 Lansdowne FC representatives from mini & youth rugby involved between both squads.

In the end St. Michael’s went on to win and indeed have since completed the double by winning the Junior Cup as well. The Senior Cup was hoisted by former mini & youth player and St. Michaels captain Mark Hernan whose dad Ray is a former mini coach in Lansdowne FC.

Too many connections to name all but great for us as a club to see these young men developing and representing their club, their families and their schools so well. Congrats to all involved #rugbyfamily
