Clontarf and Lansdowne are pitted against each other in the Leinster Senior League Final this Saturday at 2pm. The game is being streamed live at the following link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swUx0FHcipk

Clontarf earned their passage to the final by topping a very competitive Leinster Senior League 1A group which saw them defeat Old Wesley (19-18), Old Belvedere (38-29 and UCD (27-26).

Lansdowne meanwhile ensured qualification for the final by finishing at the top of  Leinster Senior League 1B Group following wins against Terenure (31-14), St Marys (41-15) and Trinity (13-7).

The final pits the two AIL 1A rivals against each other just a week before the AIL is due to kick off and whilst both clubs will have an eye to next weeks AIL games they will both also be desperate to win the  Leinster League final and secure some silverware after a long absence from competitive competition for all Leinster clubs. The winner of the final will automatically qualify for the semi-final for the Bateman Cup.

Lansdowne will be led by flanker Jack O’Sullivan whilst Clontarf’s Matt D’arcy former Irish Club international captain skippers his side for a second season. Supporters should expect a highly competitive game between two sides who know each other very well.
