Lansdowne First XV travel to Garryowen this weekend to take on the Limerick side in the Semi-Final of the Bateman Cup in Dooradoyle. Lansdowne had a good early run into the Leinster Senior Cup with 3 wins to Clontarf, Old Belvedere and Dublin University and then went on to beat Terenure comprehensively (42-5) in the final at Energia Park, Donnybrook.
Garryowen in turn lost the Munster Senior Cup to Cork Constitution and so as runners-up get to play Lansdowne. Reminder though, that LFC lost 17-14 the last time they visited Dooradoyle. Garryowen have been in reasonable form in the AIL with wins over Terenure, Shannon and UCC in their last 3 matches. Lansdowne will be keen to hang on to the Bateman Cup however, and see it through to the final.
