Frank Kenny arranged a wonderful presentation to Club President Kieran Mulligan at the Con pre-match lunch of an ‘Allegedly’ signed portrait of the Munster team which beat the New Zealand All Blacks this week 40 years ago in 1978.

Present at the lunch was Lansdowne great Donal Canniffe who captained the famous side along with team mates Jim Bowen and Tony Ward.

In other news,  Harry Byrne who played a blinder on Saturday’s match on the back pitch, made headlines in the Sunday Times Sports pages.  Byrne was the standout Man of the Match in the LFC 35-27 bonus point win against a strong Con.
