Our under 15 squad fresh out of a tough 14-14 semi final LOSS to Malahide played a pre-AIL friendly against visiting side Oakham RFC from the southern counties of England.  Our boys were under strength given the semi and found it tough going in the first half which saw an onslaught of tries from the pacey English side.  A quick refresh of contributed players from Oakham gave the lads a breadth of fresh air and they were able to score 28 points.  FT score 28-48 to Oakham.

The visitors enjoyed the facilities afterwards and had a hosted lunch in the club.  Our thanks to Elayne Power and to all the parents for putting on a spread.  Former England Captain Andy Farrell was in the clubhouse for the pre-match AIL lunch and stopped in to say hello to the lads.  The coaches even got to say hello to former Wales Interntional and current Lansdowne Head Coach Mike Ruddock.  What a treat !

Thanks to Oakham and compliments to the boys having displayed some great skills.  The sport is in good hands between our two nations.  Thanks also to our own John Nolan for very ably refereeing the match.
