Dear members

The rugby season has all of a sudden sprung to life. Our Minis & Youths are back training already and are always on the lookout for new members. If you know of any boys or girls who might be interested in giving rugby a please get in touch with Brian Moran at minis@lansdownerugby.com .

The World Cup of course kicks off this week and Ireland are in action against Romania this Saturday. On behalf of all us here in Lansdowne I want to wish current Lansdowne players Dan Sheehan, Ronan Kelleher & Tadgh Beirne and former player James Ryan the very best of luck in the weeks ahead. Everybody in Lansdowne is right behind you and we can’t wait to see you all in action. For those of us not travelling to Bordeaux the clubhouse will be open for the Ireland Romania game. Other than being there this must surely be the next best thing !

The club are looking for volunteers across the board. We are not looking for a large commitment of time for anyone involved so please do volunteer if you feel you can help. If you are interested please email info@lansdownerugby.com. It is much appreciated.

We are finalising our 1sts senior fixtures and hope to have that schedule out to you soon together with a calendar of club events for the season ahead. It is subscriptions renewal time of the year so please renew asap if you haven’t already. We are always looking for new pavilion members (as well as players) so please do consider introducing new members to the club and if you not sure what you need to do just drop me a line. I do believe that our subscription represents excellent value.

We are also looking for new members for our Supporters group. If you are interested in joining our Supporters Club for the season ahead please contact Elayne or Stephanie in the office at (01) 6689300. Again this is great value and gets you access to all 9 home AIL lunches for the season. It would be brilliant to see more people avail of this and get behind our team for the season ahead. Thank you for your attention and C’mon Ireland !!!

Stephen Rooney
