The IRFU is continually monitoring the COVID-19 situation and being guided by the advice of the HSE and UK Health Authority regarding any planning around matches. This is a rapidly evolving situation. At present cancellation of matches is not being advised. 

It’s important that you follow the Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include:

  • regular hand washing and use of alcohol-based hand sanitisers
  • covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing as part of respiratory etiquette
  • avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as cough or sneezing,

if you are unwell on return from travel to an affected area, stay at home and call your GP and tell them of recent travel. Do not present at an Emergency department or at your GP practice. There is further information available on the HPSC website www.hspc.ie
