Dear Members,
Firstly I hope that you and your families are all and keeping safe.The purpose of this letter is to say hello and give you a brief outline on what’s happening. There is still uncertainty but let’s hope that the Roadmap mapped out by the government can be followed through and we can look forward to next season with some element of confidence.
In terms of club matters, we have taken the opportunity to carry out essential maintenance work.The executive committee have had weekly Zoom Meetings. The main focus of these meetings is to ensure that club costs are kept to a minimum during the COVID-19 crises and ensuring that the financial future of the club is secure.
On Rugby matters, whilst we await direction and clarification from the IRFU, the rugby management team and committee are busy recruiting and planning for next season. I’m delighted to confirm that current senior management team will take the team forward to the 2020/21 season. Incoming President,Colin Goode will update you further at the AGM.
Our Go fund me fundraiser has been an outstanding success, thanks in no small part to over 100 members who very generously contributed to the initiative. More detailed info in this newsletter below.
