Lansdowne 35 Terenure 7
The U20s finished off their league campaign with a comprehensive win over Terenure in a windy Ballycorus.
In a tight first half, Lansdowne repulsed several Nure attacks, with Luke Thompson securing several key turnovers.
Then Lansdowne opened their account when Brian O’Donnell weaved his way over to score a brace of tries, both converted by
Stephen Madigan. Terenure rumbled over just on half time to leave the score 14-7 at the interval.
After the re-start, Lansdowne took control of the game, with Tony Doyle, Robbie Kidney & Matt Healy especially prominent.
A converted try from Stephen Madigan put some daylight between the teams, but to their credit, Terenure continued to be very competitive
and still very much in the game. Victory was secured with further tries from Sean Galvin and Elliot Hannin, both converted by Stephen Madigan.
Thus Lansdowne ended their league campaign, having secured an AWAY tie in the All Ireland Fraser Cup against Garryowen on April 6th.
